On October 17 and 18, the first edition of Fano Comics will take place, bringing comics, cosplay, cinema, gaming and pop culture to the historic heart of our city. A brand-new event with a very clear idea: to transform Fano into a huge open-air drawing board, involving enthusiasts, families, curious visitors and anyone simply looking to have fun.
Fano Comics starts from the idea of comics not only as entertainment, but also as a way to tell stories about history, places and people. For two days, the historic center will become a place to explore on foot, moving from one venue to another among meetings, exhibitions, artists at work, exhibitors and activities dedicated to the world of pop culture. Palazzo Bracci Pagani, the Pinacoteca San Domenico and the Mediateca Montanari will be the festival's main venues, all within walking distance of each other.
The program is packed with activities. There will be an Artist Alley, with more than fifteen artists drawing and working in front of the public, alongside exhibitions, exhibitors and collectors. One of the most interesting attractions is the exhibition dedicated to Lady Oscar, featuring handmade costumes, memorabilia and collectibles from the Lady Oscar Fan Club Italia.
There will also be tournaments and areas dedicated to gaming: One Piece, Lorcana, BeyBlade X, Magic Commander, chess, board games and a Game Corner where visitors can try out new titles. At the MeMo, visitors will also be able to watch and take part in the activities of the Games Area, designed to involve both enthusiasts and curious newcomers. Admission to the event is free, while some workshops and tournaments may require a participation fee.
Fano Comics will feature a cosplay parade through the streets of the city center and a real competition on the stage of the Pinacoteca San Domenico, with seven award categories. Those who prefer to stay behind the camera will instead be able to book a photoshoot and turn their costume into a memorable photograph. The program also includes activities for younger visitors: on Sunday there will be a comic-drawing lesson for children, while workshops and creative activities will offer an introduction to drawing and character design. A simple and entertaining way to share a passion across different generations.

After a day spent among comics, cosplay and games, there is the historic center to explore, the sea to admire and the entire Marche region to discover.
