This year, the event introduces several new features designed to make visitors’ stay even more enjoyable. The food stands dedicated to the “From the fishing boat to the table” project will also be open for lunch during the weekend, allowing visitors to taste traditional Fano seafood recipes both at midday and in the evening. A covered structure has also been installed to provide shelter from the sun or possible bad weather, further improving guests’ comfort.
Great attention is also devoted to promoting the local catch, the seafood supply chain and the blue economy, demonstrating how the Festa del Mare successfully combines tradition, sustainability and the promotion of the local area in one major event.
The program is packed with events and accompanies visitors from the morning until late in the evening. There will be tours dedicated to the history of Fano’s maritime traditions, live music, performances, children’s activities and cultural events spread across different areas of the city.
The most exciting moment, however, remains the grand finale on Sunday evening, August 2. For the 2026 edition, the fireworks display moves to a new setting and will be launched directly from barges in the waters in front of Sassonia beach, creating an even more spectacular effect thanks to the reflections of the lights on the Adriatic Sea. It is one of those moments that attracts thousands of people every summer and represents the perfect way to bring four days of celebration to a close.
