The opening is set for Saturday, July 4, with the traditional Nox Saldi Imperialis, combining shopping, entertainment and a Roman atmosphere. From 6:00 p.m., the historical market will animate Corso Matteotti, while at 9:30 p.m. Piazza XX Settembre will host the presentation of the city's four factions – Boar, Dolphin, Wolf and Fox – the protagonists of the festival. The evening will conclude with a live concert by Raffi and the band XXENERGY.
Sunday, July 5, will also feature a rich program. Largo Rastatt will host "Notte in Moda", a fashion show featuring creations inspired by Ancient Rome made by the students of Artemoda Fano and Pesaro.
From July 6 to 10, visitors can join guided tours of Underground Fano, organized by Archeoclub Fano, discovering Roman buildings, Emperor Augustus, Vitruvius and the archaeological heritage that tells the city's story. The schedule also includes the fascinating "Walks Through History", dedicated to Saint Paternian, Roman Fano and the route linking the Imperial and Medieval periods.
Throughout the festival, the historic center will host Roman camps, historical markets, demonstrations of ancient crafts, religious rituals, staged battles and educational activities that allow visitors to experience the atmosphere of ancient Fanum Fortunae firsthand.
One of the most eagerly awaited moments will be Thursday, July 9, when the Arena del Pincio hosts the In-auguratio, the traditional fire ceremony marking the beginning of the festival's most spectacular phase, with the participation of Vestal Virgins, legionaries, city authorities and representatives of the four factions.
Special attention will also be given to younger visitors with "Fano dei Cesarini", scheduled for Friday, July 10. The day includes workshops, historical games, camp activities, costume parades and the fun "Little Chariot Race", designed to introduce children and teenagers to Roman history through play and entertainment.
Saturday, July 11, will be dedicated to Historical Groups Day, during which reenactment associations from across Italy will present military demonstrations, ancient crafts, historical reconstructions and performances. The Arena del Pincio will also host "Between Ritual and Myth: Fanum Fortunae", a show organized by Colonia Iulia Fanestris.
The grand finale will take place on Sunday, July 12, with the traditional Pompa Magna, the spectacular parade of the city's four factions through the historic center to the Arena del Pincio.
At 8:00 p.m., the famous Chariot Race, the symbolic event of La Fano dei Cesari and one of the most anticipated events of the Marche summer, will begin.
The festival will conclude in Piazza XX Settembre with "Carpe Diem – The Caesars' Banquet with Music and Entertainment", a grand Roman-themed dinner accompanied by the election of Miss Messalina and Gladiator 2026, bringing nine unforgettable days of history and conviviality to a close.
